Default New Computer upgrade just bought yesterday

I just bought the Unichip computer for my truck. $700 for the unit or $1,000 for the one you read and use on a PDA. Just released for the 07 tundra 5.7 I have been waiting forever for the unit supposed to boost 20 hp and 25 torque and better milage as wel. Lots of other things it helps as well.

Is there anything else tunable on this thing or is it just connect it and that's it. Can we change or adjust anything?

I was reading about it on the site last night and it says you can go to a certified Unichip tuning place and they can do a custom tune for different mods like intake, exhaust, headers, turbo, cam, etc etc...They can tune for whatever you got.

I bought it yesterday and it should be here tuesday. as for as tuning I think it is just a plug in unit, it should adjust your timing and fuel though itself, there is really no need to mess with that if you don't have a turbo or a blower on the truck.

Are you going to do before and after dyno runs? It can be pretty amazing how dropping several Benjamins on a modification can sway your butt-dyno.

That's a lot of dough. Too bad gassers can't be chipped like diesels.

hi, those #'s are real. i got 26Hp from my 4.7 vvti unichip. 2005
it is easy to install.
each plug in the ecu unit is specific to the socket, so you can not make a mistake.
it's that simple.
1 thing, if anyone tell's you you can disable the speed limitor with this product , it can't be done.
those code's are not disabled in the unichip unit.
ONLY 1 i know of is NYCTUNDRA08 that is making a unit to disable the speed limitor and increase the HP & torque for around the same amount.

just thought i'd let you know.

700 is not bad for 20something HP and more torque.

spend 6 g's plus another 1000 for installation for the supercharger.
7g's or 700 ,i'd bet many would be more willing to spend the 700.

especially if there making payment's. thats alot of payment's.
maybe 7 to 12 payments.
just a thought

that is possible. because if i was willing to spend 350 per hour and several hour's, i can have a aurthorized unichip mech with a dyno retune my unchip and it would get me around( possibly) 20 moreHP and way more torque too.

so if NYCtundra say's it can be done, i'm sure it can. becuase i was told they can do it. but for me, it wasn't worth around 1000+ to gain another 20 horse's.
i also put way to much into my old toy.
but it is finished, unless i want to put on mural's, & my turbo, or NOS.
but i look at it like this my toy tap's out at 105. so why spend any more just to get there faster.
until NYCtundra 08 makes me a tuner and makes me a disabler of the limitor. i have decided not to spend another dollar.

i'm looking now for something already built. i.e. 09 vette, GT-R, super snake, etc.
but i'm so glad, with the way gas price's are, many company's are still making monster's.

either it's 30mpg FOR A GAS SAVER or 10mpg for a MONSTER i can accept that for:
500+HP.
OH ya the 5.7 trd supercharded tundra to. we shall see?

It's available for purchase already? I thought it wasn't due out until the end of the month?

is that (20/25) rwhp/torque increases or flywheel?....i guess we wont know until independent (customers) dyno's are done...including 0-60, 1/4 mile times, trap speeds, 0-100, etc....that will tell the story on whether it is worth the $$$$...

The Unichip website is saying flywheel, so what would rearwheel hp be? --
17 or so?

what octane does the unichip require...87 or 91?.....with 22 hp/26 torque at the flywheel, im skeptical about how much quicker the tundra will run.....does the unichip raise shift points? i hope so for $773.....speed limiter removed? i guess we will need to stay tuned to see what the true gains are at the track/street....i would buy one if the gains are significant... but if they are minimal.....might wait for another tuner...NYCTUNDRA????? WHATS UP!

Hey, if you guys are poor like me, just have a fat friend ride around with you for a while, then take him out and go at it. My friend is 300 lbs. That's like 30 horsepower, or .3 of a second in a quarter mile.

My mod was free lol

Also, I could ditch my Rh and tires and I'd be FLYIN'.
