Power Tilt Side-View Mirrors

I need help. I have recently purchased a 2005 Sequoia Limited Platinum package and the tilt adjustment on the side view mirrors is not working properly.

If it is cool and damp I can get the mirrors to work no problem. But if it is hot out they will work briefly or even worse not at all. It is not limited to one side or the other either. I can hear a faint click in each door panel when the appropriate side is selected. Any idea?

The dealer wants $50 just to look at it and I don't want to pay someone to tell me that can't diagnose the problem
