I recently made a purchase on Craigslist for a set of OEM fog lights for the Tundra. Some folks on here might have stumbled upon something similar either on Ebay or another similar Craigslist posting.
I paid $250.00 for the whole thing and I have to say, it's the best $250.00 I spent. Especially for the OEM fogs that I really wanted but hated the hassle of dealing with the steering column light stalk.
For those of you who are on the fence about whether this kit is a legitimate kit, pull the trigger. You won't be disappointed. I too was a little leery at first. Thinking "ok, this sounds fishy almost, what's the catch?"
No catch. Just a great product I think. Great customer service too! Talked to the seller and was available either via phone or email and responds asap with any questions and helped me quite a bit with the install, stayed on the phone while I did it. Genuine nice guy it seems.
Anyway, I took some step by step pics of my install so you guys can see how EASY this whole thing was! I'm as green as they come when it comes to anything electrical but I pulled it off with this one thanks to the seller's help for staying on the phone with me.
Install time took about 30 minutes or so! Plus, compared to the price at the dealer for the fog light kit, it's even less than half the cost and I'm really happy with the outcome!
Stand by for pics!

It's a generic kit. From what I believe, the lamp holders are OEM as well as the lamps themselves. I really didn't have with me a set of the fogs directly from the dealer to make a comparison. But the way the holders and the lamps fit, they fit the various tabs and snap locks that are already there on the factory bumper. They don't need an additional bracket to mount the lamps, it just snaps into place.
Why didn't you put this in the Tundra section? Wouldn't more people see it there?
I think this is going to take more like 2 hours to finish. Even if I did it 10 times I wouldn't be able to do it 30 minutes or even close.
I don't think any of these parts are OEM.
I'm installing mine Friday, I will tell you how it goes.
Very very nice write-up thanks.
The guy above also has a coupon code offer, I paid $213 shipped. Go to his Ebay post on the lights and its on there, then go to his site to use the code. I bought from his site not Ebay. tundrapart.com code is Hookup20.
The only reason why it'll take you two hours to do it is if you're having a beer every 5 minutes while doing it!
Since I already spent those two hours figuring out the wires, where to run them, where to splice, etc., and doing the write up for you, then it shouldn't take you that long to put them on, that is why I said 30 minutes or so. Maybe NOT exactly 30 minutes but close to it.
Mods, please feel free to move this thread to a more appropriate section if it's warranted.
Good luck on your installs, hope you like how they turn out. I'm quite happy with mine.
