I am looking to get more light out of the fogs.
For those that have tweaked their stock fog lights, will changing the bulb make a big difference or should I look at changing the whole light set up?
Thanks!
I installed the LUMINICS H10 JDM YELLOW FOGLIGHT... seem to help. We do not have heavy fogs lately... so I can't tell much. We used to have super heavy fogs... which I can't see within 10 feets ahead. But after I installed the yellow fog bulbs... there is no heavy fogs yet to test.
I know for sure it works better than the white fog lights.
could change to a brighter bulb, change to a led bulb or if you have a chunk of change laying around covert to a hid with a ballast. or could add some lights like a bull or light bar then get some additional lights, i have a bull bar with some kc lights that are great. we don't get much fog where i'm at so i couldn't tell you if they help in the fog.

Do you need more fog light or driving light? If you want driving light, get new lights, you can then sell your fog lights to another member ( me) and recoup some of your cost.
Driving and fog lights are different and modding one won't give you a good result
The front lights (head/fog) were totally inadequate on my 2005 Tundra. I plan on purchasing an aftermarket headlight wiring harness and installing at least 85W headlights soon. I have already upgraded my fogs to Toshiba HIR 9011 which are the 65W version that put out 2300 lumens! They put out a lot more light than my headlights to the point that it is mandatory for me to upgrade the headlights as my eyes have a tendancy to focus in the brighter light nearer the truck. Toshiba HIR fogs are awesome and run on 65W and stock wiring but put out a TON more lumens than any thing out there.
Yeah but you don't want to blind oncoming drivers. My headlights were so weak i couldnt tell if they were on sometimes and awful sulfer yellow color. I put some silverstars in there and polished the lens with plastic-x and now they are fantastic. Great light output and visibility, cool bright white color (cant stand the blue). did the fogs too. Oh and i have three hella 55w driving lights for the backroads an the offroads. I share your passion for good lighting.

I would NOT suggest putting in a higher wattage bulb then what is already in your lights. Doing so might draw to much current and blow a fuse or melt your wiring.
