Question Is there a way to disable dash dimming when lights turned on?

I have a (new to me) '08 Tundra. Not sure yet what all the correct acronyms are, so I'll just spell it out

Double Cab. 'Tundra Grade'. No JBL.

Ok, here's what I want to do;

I basically drive with my headlights (or parking lights) on all the time - kinda like when I ride my motorcycle. However, what I DON'T like is the fact that turning on my headlights causes the instrument cluster guages to dim out. I can't even read the time or temp.

So, if anybody knows what wire to snip so that this no longer happens, I'd appreciate it.

Why not get the drl relay, it turns on the running lights only but doesn't dim your dash

1. Cause I didn't know there was one

2. Cause I'm cheap-skate and would rather fix the issue for nothin'

3. I don't have any "running lights". There's just plastic blanks where (I assume) fog/running lights would go.

running light are those lights next to your low/high beams.
And the cheapskate special is to advertise to switch with someone who has them and doesn't want them

No worries. Turns out I found a solution!

Helps to read the OM. According to the OM, if you turn the dash light brightness all the way up, when parking or headlights are switched on, nothing dims.

Tried it and it works.
