Unhappy Disabling keyless entry beep.

Is there a way to disengage that terribly annoying (2) beep to unlock and (1) beep to lock doors with factory keyless entry?

yes, you can disconnect the piezo-electric buzzer. it is a small cylinder attached with nylon tie strap mounted near the master cylinder. I put a piece of electrical tape over about one half of the hole in it, which knocks the sound down by about half.

If you have a 2000 with the factory RS3000 based system, you can turn it off. See HOW TO: Programming the RS3000
