add the multifunction display

does anyone know if adding the multifunction fuel and trip computer is something that can be done without breaking the bank. mine just has temp and clock on the upper dash and would like to add the other parameters if possible.

A few of us have tried adding the switch, which doesn't work.

Another member tried tinkering with his speedometer cluster, which killed it. My mechanicfriend suspects you need some sort of computer flash to enable it, though no one here has figured out definitively if you can or can't add this. For now though, it's looking like you can't.

yea, i figured a flash would be necessary, can the parts be had and how difficult are they to install. any toy techs available to confirm the flash. thanks for the reply and info.

I can confirm the switch unit installs in about 45 seconds

Pity it does nothing
