Default HID kit for $40

Anyone use these kits: Raptor Brand 35W HID Kit: DDM Tuning - HID Kits, HID Bulbs, DEPO Lighting, BMW and Porsche Performance Accessories

Any pics with them on at night? For $40, it's something to check out. I went ahead and purchased a kit. Which includes two bulbs and two ballast. I plan on integrating these into my Hella 700FF housings.

With these being simiar to the Hella 500's, there isn't too much to modify. Here's a write-up: Hella 500 HID Conversion - TTORA Forum

Well a year or so ago that might arouse suspicion, but with LED forward lights coming out, HIDs are bound to drop in price.

DDM is one of the best out there for your money. Almost everyone that has HIDs on TT uses them. Bought threw Direct jg.com. I used Badabling just because I got them at a good price and were local.

During the Christmas/Holiday season DDM had some issues with shipping the wrong systems (wrong K temps or ballasts) due to the high demand, but I haven't read of any issues lately.

How much did the kit cost shipped?

$54.60 shipped. This included $11.15 for shipping and $3.50 for tax. You can pick it up I believe to avoid the shipping charges

Yeah, I'm hoping it's not. Still waiting for some light output pics on the TTORA thread. My kit is scheduled to be delivered on 6/15. I ordered the kit with the H3 bulb and 4500K light temperature. I'll most likely install it monday night and post up a review right after. Crossing fingers to have some decent light output and a wider pattern....

I pay about that much through an ebay seller, several friends have bought from him and the guy has honored any warranty related issues. Those DDM ballasts are more compact than what my source offers.

I'm running DDM (Apexcone) in fogs and head lights. I haven't had a single problem.

Got my kit today and I should be installing it tonight. I'm going to start another thread with a write-up and pics. Also, going to request to have this thread closed and further discussion can be posted on the write-up.
