Default Battery Problem

I inadvertintly hooked up my battery connections wrong on my 2003 Tudra and now it has no power runs bad and the charging system doesn't work. Any idea's what might have happened and what I can do to fix it. I was going to install a Marine battery I had and made the mistake. Pretty dumb but what can I say.

Default Re: Battery Problem

Hey Rex,

I seriously thought you were having me on. On Chatzy, usually there is more bullsh!tting going on than you would believe. So your description of hooking up the battery backwards and the resulting problems were reminiscent for example of the guy (on another forum) who poured NOS (the energy drink) into the fuel tank of his motorcycle and wondered why it didn't run very well afterward, or the guy who powerwashed out the inside of his engine through the oil filler, and then put fresh oil in but it wouldn't start. If anything, your explanation that you're in a wheelchair made the story even better.

So I'm sorry, I did not mean to be a smart a$$ at your expense. And yeah, either the ECM is fried, or some major fuses are blown, and the charging system may also be screwed. Before going much farther though, I'd see if there were any blown fuses, that's something easy to fix.

Sorry about your trouble otherwise.
