Do u have alot of keys on that key ring? as in heavy?
sounds like there is a bad wafer in the cylinder hangin up or slightly bent.
Not to rule out the switch is not returning all the way, sounds like it needs to be looked at soon.

I have been having the same problem a couple of times a month in my 2002 Tundra. Key will not turn so I keep putting it in and out and turning the steering wheel until the darned thing works. Does anyone know of a TSB with instructions on how to remove the switch? The closest I can get is a person who did this. Wrong year but maybe helpful

Doesn't look like anyone has wrote on this in awhile but I have some ??'s. I made a thread about my truck only starting with my remote start and now I'm starting to wonder if its because of my key having some wear on it?? Let me know what you guys think.

Okay it looks like there are varity of problems, in one form or another. I have an 07 DC and within the last year, the truck would not turn over twice! You insert the key it turns fine, no hang-ups, no difficulity. Lights come on, however the truck will not turn over or will turn over but not fire. Then the ignition sticks and keeps turning the starter over, but still not fire. Tried wiggling the steering, gear shift, etc. After about the 3-4 time will start up. I have just over 12000 miles on it. I haven't called the dealer yet, but plan on going in next Saturday to have them take a look. I'm sort of leaning towards the switch though.
