Question undercarriage lights?

Can anyone tell me the best wire to tap into to install my undercarriage lights? I would like them to come on when I disarm my alarm?
Thanks

Thumbs up undercarriage lights

Wes I tapped into the cargo light hot wire inside the drivers side A-Pillar. I can't remember the color of it right now. But inside the a-pillar there is a taped group of wires, I think about 4 together it is one of those wires. It goes Hot when the cargo light is on. You can use a volt meter to check it.

I found the wire behind the drivers side kick panel to trigger my undercarrige lights. I got real fustrated trying to get the A piller pannel off. I do love the lights, I used 55 W aux. back up lights they were small and put off a nice white light. I used the $10 ones from Pep Boys for awhile, but like these better. My friend also put one in the front of his Tundra to light up the area just in front of his bumper.

IHH I looked and looked and looked for that wire behind the drivers kick panel but could never locate it. I am quit sure it is there I just couldn't locate it. In the a-pillar there are only about 4 wires so it was very easy to locate there.

I am glad you mentioned changing out your lights for the brighter ones. I have the 55 watt ones for my extra reverse lights and have been thinking about putting some brighter ones underneath. So that will do it for me. Thanks for letting me know you like them.

SA
I took another look behind the kick panel and took a picture of the red with black tracer wire. I have no idea as to how to attach the pic to this post. It was just easier for me and it was a short run to the relay on the firewall. I sure do like this mod.
If anyone wants the picture just email me and I'll send it right out.
