I was driving around the other day and saw an 03 Tundra with his factory driving lights on with just the parking lights.
Does anyone know how to achieve this? In other words I want to have my driving lights on without my head lights on at the same time.
Is there a way to do this?
thx

Daytime running light are DANGEROUS!!!! My Tundra does not have them, my Sienna van does. Several times I have pulled out of my garage and drIven several miles with just the daylight running lights thinking I had turned the lights on. NO tail lights WITH DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS. Im going to get around to disconnecting them one of these days. ----Buzz
Theres a very simple mod to accomplish this in the Garage Forum member area. I have done it and like it very much. You will still have the manual control over those lights too.

I will check it out --thank you sir ( I hope the Van is the same as the Tundra) ----Buzz
I have the DRL but have them disconnected already. Looking to be able to run my fog lights with high beams or with parking lights. The switch in on the turn signal lever. I remember a thread awhile ago about the 03's but nobody would confirm that the 00-02 mod would work for the 03.
this is when i wish i had money, or parental support, to become a member, i know its not much, but for a college kid money becomes more valuable then ever!
A foglight mod for an '03 without DRL's has been documented in the "Garage". No one has verified the foglight mod with DRL's for an '03 yet.
OK OK, you talked me into it...I'll join. I will see if I can confirm that the mod will work on the 03. I won't have to rip my whole dash apart to do this mod will I ??? If I can turn my foglights on and off as needed, it will be worth the money. Plus, don't I get a free sticker or something for joining??
even better...i think you get two free stickers lol. you'll also get infected with the mod bug when ya find out you can get several hundred dollars off the price of cool go-fast stuff like headers and whatnot .
i know, hopefully at christmas i will have some extra cash!!! or people can donate to the wes wants to be a member fund!!! j/k, i definitly will be by the beginning of next year

As you will notice "club member" now!!! I looked at the Mod for the foglights and it doens't appear that it will work if you have DRL's. My fog switch is located on the turn signal, and the mod calls for the switch to be located on the dash. I guess I will have to wait until somebody figures out a way.
Hey Wes, find me a "clean" way of modifying my foglights and I will be the first to donate to the "make Wes a member fund"
i thought there was a way to change the 03s without DRLs and with the turn signal switch in the garage, maybe i misunderstood. i dont know how, and unfortunately probably wont have this truck much longer
