Below is a picture that Iron Horse Herb took. I have "borrowed" a copy of it to ask you all a question. In this photo just to the left of the emergency brake pedal there is a white colored connector. It is mounted on top of the grey large plug seen toward the bottom of the picture. It has 3 wires going to it. I seem to remember from looking at mine that one wire (white/black stripe) is a fairly large gauge, maybe 14. This wire is hot all the time. I believe the other 2 wires going to it are a smaller gauge, maybe 16/18 and are also (white/black stripe). Can one of you guys with the "elec manual" tell me what this plug is for? This wire would appear to be an excellent power source for tieing into for an accessory. But I am wondering what it is tied to and what kind of load it will carry before I mess with it to much. Same here. Looking at the photo,if you trace the wires from the plug it terminates to the plug that's bolted down to the sheetmetal,above the oval openning.

Well you guys had me curious so I just went out and looked AND TESTED mine. Inside the white 3 wire plug there are 3 flat wire prongs. The one on the left is HOT all the time. I am wondering what option or accessory this plug is for.
In the picture it "looks" like the 3 wires go to the other plug mounted on the cab wall above the oval hole, but in fact they don't.

It is identified as S8 (Short Pin) and is for the main +12V for the Power Seats. It hot all the time and is protected by the 30A fuse in the Integration Relay by the driver's left knee.
Seems like the pins on either side (1 and 3) should be +12V. The middle pin (#2) is ground.

IZL "Thank You", I knew I wasn't going crazy over here.
This would appear to be a good spot to obtain a constant +12v power source from inside the cab if it were not wired through the integration relay system. Still it might be an option for some.
