hehehe.....well i too have experienced the same issue. when originally taking ownership of my tundra it came with the VIP keyless entry. once the alarm was added (audiovox pro2032) they simply made it to work along with the existing 2"+ remote. needless to say, i tried to deal with it as i kicked myself in the rear all the way home.
just today, i took my tundra in to have them change the alarm. i was unhappy with the poor distance and inability for feature upgrades. fortunately, my salse advisor assited with this and it only cost me about an hour of my time to change to an audiovox pro2000s. this unit is better in that the alarm brain has an antenna so to gain further distance. additionally, the remote is about 3/4 the size of the VIP one.
once i save some money, i'll be adding other features such as remote window roll up/down and remote start.

Rose;
Ladies like lots of stuff on their key chain. I sometimes drive my wifes car but when we get out she has to cary the keys as there is just too much stuff on her keychain to put in my pockets. No, I don't wear tight pants. Oh well, I am going to search for a solution. I have taken the remote apart and the guts are not so big that the size of the case is justified.

Hi, IBTG2,
I have the same remote and I like it because it is easily distinguished from the keys. I end up putting the keys in my pocket with the remote just outside so that I don't activate it as I walk away. Haven't seen an alternate mentioned here. Judy

Other than going to an aftermarket system I have never heard of nor seen an alternative remote for our vehicles.

I have the Toyota factory installed alarm and keyless entry. I HATE the remote. It is HUGE and makes my keys klunky and hard to cary in my front pocket. Is there a substitute?
My wife has a 94 Beemer and the remote on it is half the size of the Toyota. I just cant stand it. Any suggestions?
