Jwitz,
I use my CB mostly during hunting season. It's a Cobra Classic and I mounted it on a board cut to fit in front of my center console and I power it with one of the aux power outlets. I have a mag-mount K-40 antenna and can have the whole thing in or out in only a couple of minutes.
I don't like leaving it in the truck all the time. They arn't as popular as they used to be but you never can tell when someone else is going to like it as much as you do.

Jwitz-

A little trick, FWIW...If you have the center console (i.e. bucket seats), you can hide electrical stuff down in the bottom compartment of the center console. I do not know if your CB has a remote control head mounting feature, but the "guts" of the radio would probably fit perfectly in the bottom.

What you do is take some 2" thick foam rubber with black felt on top to create a false bottom in the console. When you are done, it will look slick and you will still be able to use some of the space in there. If you do a neat job, hopefully the bad guys won't realize the radio is underneath the foam rubber.

For a CB, you would also need a remote speaker (connected to the radio "guts").

Hey guys,
Just installed my new CB from RS, it's one on the nice ones, a cobra copy. It took us about five hours to install all told, but it's nice... we put the CB behind the center console and wired it to the stereo leads. The antenna went in the middle of my tool box. I can go into a more detailed install if ya'll want, but I'm a little lazy right now...
