Question Anyone figured out Power-outlet mod for 2003?

I would like to have one or all of my 12 volt power outlets energized with the key off.

I understand the 2003 & 04's with DLR are diffrent than all others.

??????

Thanks

T

The 2003 & 2004 Sequoia and the Tundra Double Cab have different wiring then the earlier models to perform this type of mod requires rewiring the complete circuit.

I have an 03 Sequoia SR5 and did the power outlet mod by removing the relay from the back of the fuse box on the driver side and placing a jumper like others have done in the posted outlet mods for the Tundra. Hope this helps.

Seems easier to just rewire the outlet to the battery with an in-line fuse. The little relay under the driver's side dash is just about impossible to reach. Hats off to those who did!!

That is one option, but since that is the ACC relay, that means that all circuits that are tied to it will be live all the time. Could have it's downsides.

I did this mod to my 2003 Tundra and a coworkers 2003 Tundra(for lunch )
the lunch almost took care of my club membership for a year.
mine has been done for approx 6 months and his for approx 3/neither of us has experienced any problems whatsoever
The relay isnt exactly the same as pictured in the Mod forum
But you can jam a credit card thick piece of plastic about 1/2 " long under the contact if you work at it a little (takes 2 minutes)

This Mod would be different on a 2003 Tundra then on a 2003 Sequoia. The Tundra has a Power Outlet relay, the Sequoia does not. In the Sequoia the power outlets are in circuit with the ACC relay.
