Default Ignition Solutions

Has anyone here upgraded their ignition system with something hotter? Like MSD or similar. Better yet has anyone here ever used www.ignitionsolutions.com ??
I used their plasma booster on my 94 Ford. it had some noticeable power gains in the upper RPMs. But for 1200 bones I know my money will be better placed elsewhere.
check it out and tell me what you think.

why would you want hotter plugs?? When you upgrade your engine, your gonna want to get cooler plugs to avoid pinging. The ignition setups stock are fine.

I think that the benefits of a multiple-spark discharge system are realized primarily when fuel ratios can be increased. Aside from modifying the ECU (i.e. Uni-chip), you could increase fuel ratios by modifying the inlet air temp circuit to "fool" it into thinking that the incoming air is colder than it actually is and/or you could boost fuel pressure at the rail by installing an adjustable pressure regulator (if available).

My guess is that the stock setup does a really good job of burning off all of the fuel that gets dumped into the cyllinders in a stock setup.

I doubt there is much to gain unless substantial intake mods are done.

I was just seeing what other peoples thoughts of this were...Many of the newer vehicles dont benefit as much from these kinds of upgrades. Simply because they come well endowed from the factory.
I am planning an stand alone fuel system to accompany a fully built Tundra V8 bored and stroked to 5.0L . So in addition I am planning a better ignition set up to atomize the fuel more completely.

Sounds good to me. Very cool that you are going to go for some stroke. Let us know how that turns out.
