I'd like to add a footwell light to the front passenger side of my '04 Sequoia to match the driver's side? I plan on finding a similar bulb and housing as the driver's side and wiring it directly from the driver's side light. Should I wire it "in line" or "in parallel" with the light on the driver's side? I don't want to reduce the light output from the driver's side light, nor do I want to overheat or blow any fuses, etc.
On a related note, does anyone know what kind of light is used for the footwell on the driver's side? Is it a "37"? And where can I get a socket? I found plenty of sources for the bulb (if 37 is it), but no one seems to have a socket

If I'm not mistaken your owners manual will list all the bulb types for your vehicle. A good auto parts store should be able to provide the lamp socket with a wire pigtail to match the lamp.

If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to siphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????
If your engine doesn't consume ANY oil it will seize???
Some people should not be allowed access to tools without books!!!
I must not have any good auto parts stores nearby. Neither Napa nor Advance Auto had the socket for the tiny bulb.
The manual lists most lights, but doesn't mention the footwell bulbs. I'm 99% positive they are called '37' or '73'.

No Auto Zone, Pep Boys, Checkers? I'm not sure to be honest if my Tundra has those footwell lamps or not. I'll have to look.

As impatient as I am, I went ahead and soldered a length of 22 gauge speaker wire to the leads on a #73 bulb I found in my garage. I secured the light under the passenger side dash, ran the wire across to the factory footwell light and used "quick splices" to connect the new lamp in parallel with the original one. DONE!
