Question Tundra Fog Lights

OK, dumb question time. I seem to remember reading somewhere on this web site that Tundra Fog lights are already wired and you just need the lights, relay, and switch to do the installation. Like I got the Tundra, 2002 SR5, and the deal was so good that I didn't even check to see that there were fog lights on the truck. I mean my old '88 Nissan SEV6 didn't have them but that was 14 years ago and I just assumed that all new trucks have fog lights. Well, mine didn't have them and while I can rig electrics enough to install them, I don't have a wiring diagram so I don't know what is already wired and what I would need to add. Does anyone know what is already in the wiring loom and what would need to be added. The local Toyota shops don't seem to know exactly what is needed, they say they haven't installed fog lights as add-ons. I can fool around and find this I guess, but if anyone knows the answer, please give me an e-mail at: cbsimkins@yahoo.com

That was mentioned on the board before the loss of the DB, and that statement is in the Electonics FAQ, although I have not verified it. The relay would only be live if you have a switch. Below are the 2000 diagrams:

Fog Light w/DRL

For Light WITHOUT DRL

If you do this, please document and take pictures for a How-To.

You are a gentleman and a scholar, thanks. Just what I need to do some investigating under the hood. I will document what I do and send along pictures. As I have the Daytime Running Lights here in California, I will probably keep them as they are useful at times. I probably need to get a manual but haven't because I tend to hang on to those things and had a collection for quite a while. I still have a Bentley's manual for a '94 530i that is no longer mine, so I keep buying these expensive manuals even though there is less and less to play with on the new cars and trucks. Again, thanks and I will let you know. The previous post was probably the one of mine. I like the new site much better than the old one.
