Default FYI....found great price on Odyssey battery

I got tired of the battery in my '05 Sequoia seeping and decided to take the plunge on an Odyssey battery. I just wanted to pass on that I found a great price on the PC1700MJT @ batteriesareus.com

Price was $179.95 plus $5.00 shipping for total of $184.95 to my door. I thought that was a great price for the big 1700 with the metal jacket. The next best price I could find was $195.00 without shipping. They have some nice stainless (colored too!) hold-downs so I ordered one of those too.

I've heard nothing but good about the Odyssey's. Shouldn't have to buy another battery for 10 years or so.

Default Odyssey Battery

I have been looking at these batteries for a while and was considering getting one for my truck. It would be interesting to see how you get it to fit in your Sequoia.

Good info.

Thanks

I also ordered one of these:

It should work just fine by bolting it down where the stock plastic tray sits. There are a few Tundra & Sequioa owners that have gone to the 1700 Odyssey, but you do have to plan for holding it down since it is about 1 inch longer and a little shorter than stock. Some members have just modified the stock hold down. Odyssey makes some really nice billet hold-downs, but they are $$$.

I did contact them about the PC1700 because they now show they are out of stock. There were a couple of members on the ICIX forum that wanted the 1700. They said they would be restocked in 3-4 weeks on that one.
