Default Speedometer calibration

I did a search but only found a few entries regarding the ratio adapters that adjust the speedometer for different size wheels or gear ratios.

I need one or something like it for my Tundra.

So, which unit do most of you use and how difficult is it to install?

Thanks in advance,
Rich

Use search terms (superlift & or Truspeed) That'll give you some more entries.

4 wires to connect 2 from the back of the tranny I cut the wire and used insulated connectors so I could just unplug the calibrator and plug the wire back together whala back to stock(need to have one male and one female on the original wire for this to work). Just tucked the box behind the kick panel on the drivers side If I need to do any adjusting I just pull it out. I couldn't get mine close with the chart they supply but a GPS and the Mrs helping me only took a couple miles.

Thanks for the info. I wasnt sure if you could splice the wires at the transmission or somewhere behind the dash. Splicing behind the dash might be the best option being would be out of the elements.

Well, after researching the hell out of this issue I have decided to take my truck to a local speedometer shop and they are going to install a yellow box.

They have a dyno so will be able to calibrate it right there.

Well, they put the yellow box on the truck and the speedometer is erratic. We bypassed it and now need to find another calibration unit that will work correctly.
