So I spent the $22 to get the status monitor and glass breakage from the delaership, went through all the install steps and when I went to put in the status monitor I ran into a problem. Instead of 1 four pin it has 2 2 pin, one from the light and another from the sensor. Did I get the wrong part?
I followed your directions exactly today. It works and the best part is that it only took 15 minutes. I was wondering what would happen if a thief just disconnected the 8P connector? Does the stock alarm have a backup battery?
no. I set my alarm off, and the AAA tow-truck driver simply unplugged it and the alarm went silent, and my truck started. VERY unsettling.
I have a 2004 Tundra Double Cab Limited package, every option that you can get, and mine does not have the flashing warning light. My truck came standard with keyless entry and alarm for the Limited Models it said on the sticker? What about the flashing LED?? I can set my alarm and slam the tailgate and nothing happens, or get into the bed and jump around and rock the truck and nothing happens. How can I adjust the sensitivity and check about the glass breakage unit?

The Double Cab does not have a RS3000 or RS3200 system. The sytem in a Double Cab is a body ecu based system. If you have the FACTORY Theft Deterrent system there should be an indicator light on the dash that will start flashing when the key is removed from the ignition switch. (see attached image). Slamming your tailgate, jumping around in the bed, or rocking the truck will not trigger the alarm as there is no shock sensor. The system is described on page 40 (Section 1-2) of your owner's manual. The system is designed to sound an alarm if any of the doors or hood is forcibly unlocked or opened or the battery terminal is disconnected and then reconnected when the vehicle is locked. Your owner's manual describes a procedure to set the system. The Glass Break Sensor (GBS) is an additional option that when installed will trigger the alarm should a window be broken when the alarm system is active. It is a small microphone that senses the sound of breaking glass. You can adjust the GBS by turning the adjustment screw on the V2 ECU (recommended default setting is "7", the adjustment has a marked range of 1-11). To test the GBS, with moderate force, tap the center of the driver's door window with the tip of a key. You can then adjust as necessary by increasing the GBS setting to the next level if the alarm does not trigger.

I just purchased an 06 DC and got excited about my unknown alarm system when I first started reading this thread - didn't take note that the thread was started 4 years ago.
Do the DCs have a similar method for activating/programming the ecu based alarm system if you have the keyless entry system? Or did Toyota choose to not pre-install the alarm system on the DCs?

Anyone tried this on a 2006 DoubleCab X-SP? Is it possible on the 2006? I didn't readily see the wiring discussed earlier in the thread, but I also didn't remove the kickplate. Is it the cover directly beneath the Steering column or off to the side by the drivers door? thanks.
I was reading the forum and saw where yall were activating the alarm by just switching two 8p connectors I have an 06 Access Cab. I took apart the lower dash and saw the one 8p connector but do not know where the other one is to switch out. Any info would be great thanks.
