Lightbulb hmm.....cat back systems

Considering getting a cat back system for my 01TRD 4x4. Anyone recommend one over the other. It would be great if I could bolt it on one afternoon w/o dealer assistance.
Thanks,

Im sure this topic has been kicked around awhile, just could not find it.

If your main concern is bolt on then I'm sure TRD is the way to go...

Single or dual exhaust? I have the JBA Evol exhaust(single exit). Formerly owned and made by K&N. I chose the single set-up for less damage from boulders when wheelin' on the trail. Anyways, I love the way it sounds. It has a nice deep throaty sound for a single exit set-up but, not too loud. Plus, you don't lose any or as much low end torque as a dual set-up. The quality is great and it's made with stainless steel.

I would love to see a pic... there is a pretty good deal on the JBA exhaust/header from truck performance ($930 for the ceramic coated header and SS exhaust). Could you share something with us?

Thanks,
Doug

I have some pics but, they are at home. I only live about 5 miles away from my work. So, I'll see about stopping by and picking them up to post during lunch. I don't have headers yet.

That is great, there are already JBA header pics in the gallery, so the EVOL exhaust is all that is missing.

Thank you!

Doug

Alright the pic of the exhaust is in my photos. Check it out. I'll provide additional pics but, I won't put them in my gallery(saving space).

Here's a pic of it installed:

what about just replacing stock muff w aftermarket muff? Does the aftermarket pipes make that much of a diff.? I need to match series 77 k&n intake with catback or new muff on '05 4.7L. Any ideas??

Just go ahead and replace your stock muffler with an aftermarket. Its alot cheaper to do it that way and you still get the same results.
