Question Code P0100

Hey Everyone Im A Newbie With A Problem, I Have A 2002 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 2.7 Ltr Manual. My Cel Has Been Coming On And Off So I Took It To Autozone And Had Them Check It, It Came Up Code P0100 Which They Told Me Was The Maf Sensor, I Read On Here How To Clean It So I Did, And Reset It, Problem Not Solved Though Cel Came Back On 2 Days Later. So Now I Went And Bought A New Maf Installed It, Reset Comp, And Now 4 Days Later Its Happening Again. Cel Is Coming On And Off Again. I Have Noticed When The Cel Is On My Mpg Goes Down And My Truck Makes This How Do I Describe It A "clanging" Sound For About 15 To 20 Seconds When I Start It Up And Im On The Gas, If Im Not On The Gas Or The Cel Is Not On I Dont Hear This Noise At All??? Any Help Would Be Appreciated. Im Tired Of This Annoying Orange Light. Thanks
