Default 2000 vs 2003 Transmission and Parking Brake

Just tested my father's 2003 Tundra. Wow, the transmission is so much better. Does anybody what is different about the new transmission? and another thing the parking brake is awesome, it actually works and feels like there is no resistance when you apply the parking brake. Anybody know what the differences are between 2000 and 2003?

Thanks

I heard that the gear ratio is the different on the 2003. As a matter of fact, a few in the forum have observed that while driving, then letting go of the gas pedal, the truck doesn't coast as much. Like it slows down much quicker.

Based on the Toyota brochure, the 2003 Tundra still has 3.91 gears in the rear so if the gears are different...the change is in the tranny.

Yes, that's what I meant... the gearing in the tranny changed.
