code o2 bank 1??
is this going to hurt anything? whats a fix for this (new o2 sensors?) is it due to the fact that theres more flow and the o2 sensors cant keep up?
did a search never really found answers to my questions.
ne help would be greatly appreciated!
thanks in advance

Do as crewmaxter said, just disconnect the battery for 5-10 minutes to reset the ecu and fuel mixture. If the light returns, then get it checked out. It did it to me after I removed my k and n.
Extra flow won't burn out an O2. I would check the O2's connector and ensure that it is in fact seated properly. The plug should "click" when seated. Perhaps unplug it and make sure none of the pins got bent over, although this should cause the connector not to seat properly. Also inspect the wiring to ensure it hasn't been damaged or pinched anywhere. Aside from that, perhaps the O2 sensor itself was damaged during the header install (did it get dropped or shocked at all ?).
ok i disconnected the battery for about 15 minutes. the check engine light went away, but came back after 10 mins of driving. my main concern is, is there any damage that can be done to the motor because the o2 sensor's are not reading properly. will replacing them even help? i double checked all fitting and connectors and everything is good. hmmmm?

Please take it to Autozone and have them read the error code. They will do it for free. Then come back here and let us know the code. Until we have more info about the code, it is a goose chase. It will be much easier to give you some good advice with it.
Hmmm, just noticed you are in Canada. Not sure Autozone is up that way. regardless, you really need to find out that code first for some help!
Like he said, whats the code. It might just be reading to lean due to a leak in the new headers, or there may be a leak at the sensor if you didnt replace the gasket.

ya, i also live in Wawa Ontario. nearest dealer is 2+ hours away. when i got it scanned at the dealer after the install of the jba's i think the code was o2 sensor bank 1??? something like that...i did not write it down. the mechanic that did the install said that the code was due to the o2 sensor not heating up? he then said it wasnt a big deal. i am asking for other opinions. i will try and call them tomorrow and get the code for you guys. i just want to know if i am doing any damage to anything, and if there is a fix to correct the check engine light.
hope this clarifies things a bit for you guys. again i will try to call them to get the code (if they wrote it down as well)
thanks guys!

You more than likely have an O2 sensor heater circuit failure. This is common on many vehicles due to the extreme temperatures the O2 sensors operate at. If it is indeed a bank one sensor code it will be on the drivers side assuming it is a V8. You will still need to see what # sensor it is as there are 2 sensors on each side. You probably will not notice any running problems with it and you should get it replaced as soon as you can. The sensor will still read however the heater will not operate in the sensor. Good Luck.

Replace the O2 sensor. Bank 1 is drivers side.
Sensor 1 is in manifold, sensor 2 is behind cat.
Fuel mileage will be affected as well as performance.
