Question Denso Iridium plugs

Could anybody shed some light on those Denso iridium plugs. Just bought a set a week ago, but now I'm not sure I want to put them on. Spoke to a friend and he told me that people are disappointed in them. Has anybody tried these plugs out? Thanks in advance

p.s. bought the haynes manual, thanks for the heads up....love this site.

Those plug are good plug. I know a lot of people that use those with forced induction (Supercharger or Turbo) I think the people that are disappointed were probably expecting to much from the plugs. Remember spark plugs are not going to give you that much of a HP boost, unless the old plugs were worn out or in poor shape.

Replacing worn sparks plugs with ANY plug designed for your engine type will only bring back stock performance, everything else being equal. Spark plugs will NOT give you a HP gain, better gas mileage, better throttle response etc. Any time you spend over $2.50 per plug you've just fallin' for another "marketer’s ploy" as most of us have over the years. (Big companies pay these "market people" good money to come up with ways to seperate us from our hard earned money.)

After I replaced the Denso Iridium Plugs in my supercharged V8 Tundra, I noticed that the truck runs smoother. Mainly, the truck shifts smoother and shows less shifting lag during hard acceleration. $100 is a lot to spend on spark plugs, but giving the $4000 for the S/C, it's really not too bad. The way I see it, you already paid for the fish, why save on the garnish.

Thanks for all your help. I decided to return the plug and bought orginal plug instead. Just got done changing them. Gonna buy the Hellwig swaybar instead with the money from the iridium plug.

Just a side note: I was "nosing" around the iForce in a new V8 4Runner and noticed the prominent stickers "Use Iridium Spark Plugs -- See Owner's Manual"

Hmmm... I didn't check a new Tundra or Sequoia to see if they changed them, too, or it's just on the 4Runners.

That's to obtain the 100K interval change-over. Does anyone know of anyone who has actually put 100K on a set of plugs with a gasoline engine?
