The reason I ask this, about 10K miles ago I did a 4qt drain and refill and I used the T Type IV fluid on my 02 4wd. My tranny still shifts like the day I bought her and I tow a 5k trailer often.

Should I continue using the Type-T IV fluid to do the 4qt drain/refill on my 02 Tundra?

Thanks
The correct fluid for an '02 is Dexron III

Interesting that Bradbury mentioned about the fuel filler doors lacking locks on the Tundra. I noticed that on some of the Tacoma Pre-Runners that there is no lock for the Fuel filler door either. Geesh, even small economy cars have locks on the fuel filler door. This and a whole lot of errors about specifications in the owner's manual does not sound very Toyota like to me.
Type T-IV ATF certainly isn't new, its been around at least since 1998. In 1998 it replaced type T-II (yes there was a type T as well, but don't believe there ever was a type T-III).

Default Amsoil ATF

Has anyone here tried the Amsoil's ATF now that they claim to be compatible with Toyota Type IV? I guess, as a couple of you have already stated that the Type T IV has been around for at least 5 years, that Amsoil has had plenty of time to formulate their transmission fluid for the Toyota T-IV ATF. It seems strange that Amsoil can meet so many different specs under one fluid.
