Engine & DrivetrainDiscussions about the engine and drivetrain of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "True Duals", within the Engine & Drivetrain forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
A couple of things - you should choose the exhaust to either match the s/c or being N/A. For a S/C application - I'd look for mandrel bends ( which is a lot more labor than crush bending - but gives better flow ). I'd assume the Bassani is mandrel bent - as well as SS.
Also - back pressure/scavenging is pretty important in N/A - but not the same in S/C. However, going completely free flow ( where you could roll a tennis ball through it - which is a nice set up for a turbo, since you have less exhaust flow in that case ) would be very deafening on an S/C - so you want to balance more flow with sound !
I'd get the S/C and headers first - then do the exhaust. I've run more flowing exhausts on S/C applications and went back to stock - as I did not like the gurgling sounds on decel. Went back to stock and not to sure of what the performance gains were.
However, given that the Tundra is not a true dual normally - I am not what the trade offs are when going that route. I can imagine that there are plus's and minus. My only experience with true duals and X crossovers have been with Mustangs - where they started that way. IMHO, the X crossover adds and would choose that route. When going with this on the Tundra, are there ECU or sensor issues - given the change in routing ?

Would the hellwig anti-sway make it hard for this bassani system.
I have the dual rears and there's no problem.

Which is the 2in-2out setup with the behind rear wheel side exist?
000EX-47100-2S: from the pipes below the muffler these seem like the side exist setup but just says rear exhaust.
000EX-47100-1S: from the tips looks like the straight back to bumper exists, but is says it's the side exist.
Am I missing something, I'm looking for the side exists and it looks like 000EX-47100-2S is the one.
I dont know why bassani keeps changing their site. At one point, they had a pic as to what part # goes to what but now there's no description. When I had ordered, the part # on mine was 471002. I'm guessing 47100-1 is the side exits? I'd check with their customer service to make sure.... BTW, i'm thinking about going with the side exit too
