Engine & DrivetrainDiscussions about the engine and drivetrain of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "SuperCharger", within the Engine & Drivetrain forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
it should. all the 3.4 engines are the same as are the 4.7's. I dont think it really matters which vehicle it is, engine parts are made for a specific engine, not a specific car.

Are you serious? I would be EXTREMELY surprised if the two superchargers were interchangeable between the 3.4L V6 and 4.7L V8. i.e. If they were, why would Toyota sell two separate units with two different prices - with the 4.7L version being $1500 bucks more? Also, if this was the case, why would anyone purchase the more expensive Supercharger in the first place? Doesn't make sense...
Also note that the 2003 Tundra requires a different Supercharger than the 1999-2002 models (due to be available in April). Check here:

Oh wait a second. Does your 2003 Tundra have the 4.7L V8 or the 3.4L V6? If the former, see my previous reply. If the latter, I really don't know, but I'd sure call Toyota before I spent $2000 bucks!
Seee-ya,
Jim.

no no no, you must have mis understood me. All 3.4 engines are the same. All 4.7 engines are the same. The 3.4 is very diffrent from the 4.7. What I am saying is that tundra engine parts will fit a sequoia because they use the same 4.7 engine, they do not have a diffrent engine. So a tundra with a 3.4 can use engine parts from a tacoma 3.4.
