Default Fire causing Engine to fall Apart?

Recently, my oil filter came off while driving and a small fire started right above the engine. The car worked fine for a while. But, the fire caused the timing belt to crystallize and the teeth got ripped off. The result was pressing the gas pedal and the car not moving forward.

I replaced the timing belt. The first time I started the car, the engine stumbled a bit. But, after that, it never did it again. The car worked perfectly.

However, recently, the same situation happened (where I press gas pedal and car not moving forward). When I start the car, the engine would stumble sometimes and not function. At certain lucky times, it would start and function normally.

The engine seems to stumble when the car comes up to operating temperature and pressing on the gas pedal. It idles fine.

What could the problem be? I can't imagine it being the timing belt again since it was changed two weeks ago.

Oh I forgot to mention, it is a non-interfering engine. So, the timing belt shouldn't have caused any other damage.

Hmm..I replaced any visible damaged wires, but it only made things worse. Any other ideas?

Was the throttle position sensor exposed to the fire?

It's fixed now. It was the coil. Thanks everyone.
