CEL 440 446 2002 tundra
I had a check engine light come on a few weeks ago. After changing the battery the light went out and now it is back on. It is 440 and 446. I have noticed the gas cap does not always have pressure when I remove it so I purchased a new cap. If that was it how long till the code goes away? I also recently (2 months) changed the fuel filter. It was a bear to change because of the connections. I think I got it tight, there is no gas leaking out from under it. I also have a K&N air filter that I have not cleaned in about 8 months. I got a new filter today untill I can get to summit and get the cleaner kit. There is also 2 very very small cracks in a hose near the evap box, they dont appear to go all the way through. I am goingto replace the hose with a new napa hose tomorrow. I lost half of that hose when I was changing my plugs. I drove about 20 miles and started to hear a ticking, when I popped my hood I saw there was a hose missing and replaced it the next morning (also about 2 months ago). Any help with the specifics of code 440 and 446 would be greatly appreciated. I have to take my truck for an emmissions check and it will not pass with the light on. The auto zone near my house would not turn it off after I replaced the gas cap. Thanks again!
