Default Mobil 1 5W-40 Turbo Diesel Truck

Guys,

Recently I was running Shell Rotella 5W-40 in my truck and it just didn't seem right. Idle was not as smooth as it normally was . Did an early oil change and switched to this Mobil 1 5W-40. This Mobil is dual rated diesel and gas engines. The smoothness is back and my motor is nice and quiet. I also seem to notice that my exhaust drone at 2k rpm is less. I was wondering if anyone else has experience with this oil? I think this is the oil that is rebadged Delvac.

Ken

Have all ways used shell 15 40 with no problems. I know this will start something, but all oil has been hit by the EPA. The truck oil, even the EPA truck oil has more to protect then most auto oil. But don't take my word do a web search and see for your self. If the oil is not rated for late model cars, trucks it is better for your motor just not the cats. The EPA truck oil did not loose as much good additive as auto oil.
