Default throttle body

I was cleaning my tb for the 1st time yeasterday and realized it only opens about 1/4 at full throttle. Is there something wrong w/ my truck or does everyone elses do the same? i was able to push it open with my finger so that it is fully open.

thanks

Default Re: throttle body

If the key was off then that is right. The 1/4 throttle is the mechanical movement in the top part of the throttle that is used for limp mode. Try it with the key on and you will see full throttle operation. The buzzing sound is also normal. DO NOT get your fingers in the way though, the motor has alot of torque and will cause you pain if you let it close !
