Default Engine Stalling When Shifting Into Drive

2001 Sequoia Stalling
I Have A 2001 Sequoia That Is Stalling When You Try To Drive Off From A Start. My Transmission Performs Good In All Gears With A Full Transmission Fluid Level Nice And Red,,not Burnt. The Throttle Performs When You Give It Gas In Neutral And Park. But When Placed In Drive To Start Off At The Light The Engine Dies Unless You Really Give It The Gas And Wen Coming To A Stop At The Light. Can Anyone Give Me Advise On What The Cause Is? I Cleaned The Throttle Body, Changed Air Filter, Sparkplugs Are Clean Burning, And When I Took The Mass Airflow Sensor Off To Clean It Still Had The Diodes Intact, Is There Any Way If Maby It Is The Problem To Test The Throttle Body Sensor? No Engine Check Light Is On. Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated. Thanks, Neil In Hickory, N.c

That also sounds like a converter to me.

Trans. Pressure solenoid circuit or converter, but to me definitely not the MAF and very definitely NOT the PCV valve.

Who would truly think it is the PCV valve??????

I appreciate the replies guys. I hope it's not the torque converter but probably is. I'll let you know after the stroke when seeing the price.

If it turns out to be the converter send it to that import trans place in Jesey that does the valve body modifications. i cant think of the name of them. They can rebuild your stock converter and improve it for less than a new one. If memory serves correct its about 479 for a complete job and im guessing the stock one is about that.
