What is the difference between the 1st Gen V8 Engines? I know there are two names. Are they the same?

I believe that all the v8's were called I-FORCE engines. The differences are in the 05 and 06 engines, those engines have VVTI (variable valve timing w/intelligence) and make more horsepower than the earlier motors.
