Engine & DrivetrainDiscussions about the engine and drivetrain of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "TBSpacer", within the Engine & Drivetrain forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
So, has anyone tried the infamous Throttle body spacer on their 4.7/5.7l TUNDRA? Being a snowmobile/dirtbike mechanic, and also learning to be a diesel tech, I dont really believe to see any gains... The biggest gains I could see is if it was a slide carb, where you would put a plug/block on the inside of the slide that creates a straight shot of air across the underside of the slide, instead of an down-up-down effect.
I did search this and did not find anything by the way.

You didn't do a thorough enough search...no provable gains, at all, from anyone that's tried one
how did u do a search and not come up with anything? i just did it and got a whole page of the paperweight (throttle body spacer) threads....including this one throttle body spacer??? from a few days ago...

I can get 40 mph now, so I'm not sure why I'd need a whatever this thread is about. I can also get below 40mph...and even above 40mph, but I have to press harder on the pedal on the right. I'll send you beer, but I want some Irish Whiskey in return for sharing my over 40mph secret with you.
Yes, I'm having a lighthearted moment with an obvious goof by RudyDep.
Cheers!
