Question Transmission Fluid??

What up Tundra owners!! I gotta question, does anyone elses transmission shift a little jumpy? I feel a slight kick from gears 1-2 and 2-3, its not terrible but I thought it would be smoother comin from toyota. Has anyone used synthetic fluids in their transmission? Did it shift smoother? Let me know because I am going into my 15k service and I might tell them to change it and put synthetics in. Thanks!!

I don't have any kick. I did change mine to synthetic ATF, but it was smooth before the change. I changed over at 3K miles.

I'm using Amsoil syn ATF...it shifts smoothly...and it shifted smoothly before I changed.

One thing you can add to your ATF that might smooth out the transmission, and won't do any harm, is a bottle of Lubegard red. http://www.lubegard.com/automotive/trans_atf.html

Lots of posts that say switching to synthetic fluids make the tranny shift a lot smoother.

I've got the same problem with my tundra, but it only happened
after I changed the tranny fluid with toyota's dextron III after
20k miles. Haven't decided what to do yet.
