They view both boards and they know both complain, but you have to admit there's allot more complaints here then over there.. I notice the same thing..

It may be that these trucks are less in quality I don't know I don't want to argue that point.. (thats a whole other topic) I was just trying to add something usefull to the topic. Sorry if it affended you.

well next time someone sayes something like that i would say something like this you build the tundra right then people will not complain about the brakes topic or anything else we all know...we the customers know more than toyota does about reliably issues and one thing's for sure the trd s/c is no exception.<br />my dealer knows about this site hell they review it ....
They understand there is problems.. You have to look at there point of view.. There on the net looking for Tundra sites they come here and see 40 out of 50 post complaining about one thing or anther, there under the impression that the tundra has no problems or very little sence most service departments probally don't fix most of the problems and don't record them either. So Toyota thinks everything is ok then they see this site and come up with the conclusion of what I said previous post. I'm not defending what they said.. And when he told me that. I told him I havn't had any problems yet, and hopefully never will.. (funny thing on the way home from that trip I was towing with the Tundra my taco on a trailer with no trailer breaks I developed a break vibrating issue) Thank god for Dianne in Carson. And it does have a slight 65mph vibration while driving but the tires havn't been balanced and it's no where near as bad as my tacoma.. I would have it checked out but all the dealers near me are dumb I hate having to explain my self to them a hundred times.. and Carson is too far away.. I really wish they would use decent paint my paint is already really scrathed up and looks horrible! Its only seen dirt one time and I use good wax on a regular basis to keep the stellar blue looking stellar Anyways Back to the s/c I wish I could aford one.. My wife says it's fast enough I say no such thing..

You didn't offend me...they did. I just thought that was pretty messed up of them to say that. The only bitching on this board is about brakes, all other posts are either how great the truck is or questions about aftemrarket parts. Back on topic...I think that by the time I can afford the supercharger (not anytime soon), all the bugs will be worked out....hopefully. DeMello...you're right....there's no such thing as fast enough!!

Thumbs down Re: V8 Supercharger

the problem is that the rods were snapping under the extra power they are weak and brittle b4 you mod any turbos or superchargers you need h rods from lextreme.com or ttc performance

However, the two bolt main cap usually survived. For some of you havent open up or seen the pictures yet, here is a picture of the 1, 2, 3uzfe and a H-beam rod.

You can see from the picture above the 2uzfe rod (second from the left) is very skinny and small. I was told by my engine builder said those rods are good for 400 rwhp. Anything more then that will suffer destruction and especially worst if tuning is off too.

Recently I had an opportunity to make a rod/piston combo for a customer on his Tundra. This customer is only aiming for 500-600 hp he is doing this for insurance purposes. We installed and tested before shipping everything clear and rotate very well. I also included a set of Clevite rod bearings as a gift too. This customer will be very happy. If you look closely, offset is there too. They are direct bolt on the stock 2uzfe crank.

If you have a chance to visit any local junk yard or engine core exchange center, you already see the Tundra shortblock laying around with broken rod or rods. I am a regular at the above locations and that is all I find from this motor. If you are running supercharger, turbo or NOS in your Tundra, please becareful. If anything that goes would be the rods.
