I have a 2007 Double Cab with the 4.7. Last night I successfully installed a hydrogen generator all for about $30.00. After topping off this morning and driving around and refueling I have averaged 23mpg.
Pics, design plan, DIY...we need more than a very bold statement.

What pics do you want to see for proof? I'm not joking about this. I don't post because of the trash talk and BS. Just thought I would let everyone know that this is possible to do and increases fuel economy and put some money back in your pocket and not the oil companies. I drove 28 miles and put in 1.2 gallons of fuel. Do the math 23.3 mpg. I am at work but you just tell me the pics you want and they will be posted.
jgrega, don't take it personally. It is just our way of saying we are interested and glad you are sharing it with us. We ALWAYS ask for pictures. We ALWAYS say "No pictures, it never happened".
I do, however, think you need at least several hundred miles to see if your truck will really hold that MPG. I would (as would others) like to see the set up and learn how you installed it etc.
Oh ya, No pics - it never happened .

The design is very simple and too simple to believe. 3in PVC cut to 9in. 2 caps, 1- 18in piece of 1/2in stainless steel, 2 stainless steel scouring pads, 1qt of water and 1/2 tsp of baking soda, 2 90 degree fittings, 3ft 1/2 hose. The stainless steel is bent into a horseshoe shape that runs down one side, across the bottom, and up the other of the 9in pvc tube. One stainless bolt is drilled through the outside and holds the stainless in place, this is your positive lead. The take the two scouring pads and tie them with stainless safety wire to keep them from hitting the stainless strip and cancelling out the charge. Another bolt is drilled in and connect to the pads this is the negative lead. Pour in 1qt water mixed with 1/2tsp baking soda. Attach cap with a 1/2 in 90 put on it. Connect hose from 90 to intake tube and run your leads accordingly. I have my positive to my ignition so its only on when the truck is on. When power is put to it the h2o is broken down to hho. The h which is lighter than air flows up and out of the tube and into the intake. Simple as that. I can post pics and step instructions later to prove I have this on my truck.
I drive around 100 miles a day so getting multiple tank results will not be a problem. Besides pics and mileage logs what would help you all to see and believe this?
If your 4.7 can consistantly run at 23mpg, there will be TONs of TS members running out and putting this hook up on heir 4.7s and 5.7s . I have no doubt you have this on your truck and I have no doubt that you got 23mpg. There have been times that I got 20mpg with my truck right after I reset my computer (even doing it by pencil), but when I average several tanks, I'm averaging about 17. My lead footed Son gets slightly over 16 when he takes it easy.In fact, going from my house to the main road (5-6 miles), I have averaged as much as 35mpg (always 25+mpg). Of course that is almost ALL down hill .
I guess what I'm saying is that such a low mileage test may not be a accurate as we hope.
Keep an eye on it for several hundred miles and PLEASE keep us posted. I am sure you will get blasted will a million questions. That's just us trying to get get a little more info and education.
Again, keep us posted and THANX for shareing.

Thanks and keep us posted with your results!!!
We ask for pics and design details cause we all like to modify our trucks and debate gains, please don't get offended.
I have always heard, that the problem associated with a mixtures (salt or baking soda and what have you), instead of straight water, is that the HHO converter, tank, and components will gum up and have to be cleaned and/or replaced quite often. The labor and cost of materials to fix the setup every couple of tanks defeats the gains and unfortunately, no one has been able to produce an efficient enough converter to run off straight water. 23 mpg is an interesting number to say the least, did you disconnect the battery and reset the truck's computer? I'd sure like to know your results along the way, 2 or 3 tanks (1000 miles) should be interesting.

I have a friend who made one of these for his wife's Yukon. He said he as tried to make one for his truck, but hasn't succeeded yet. He said he wife was getting much better mpg. I don't know the specifics, but I have heard of others doing this also.
I am REALLY interested to see how this works out after several hundred miles of testing.
I WANT TO BELIEVE - SHOW ME SOME PICS and EXTENSIVE DATA!!!
I'm a total naysayer until you run a full tank of gas. Because 1.2 gallons is a total joke to make any speculation of Miles/Gallon.
Also, HHO is the same thing as H2O or HOH, just rearranged letters. You must write it correctly to show it as two separate molecules, such as H+OH.
What are you doing with the waste you create in the water reservoir? And how often do you refill? How many times have you refilled it during that 28 mile trip?

One of our local news stations in Hawaii did a story on a similar system. This guy has already installed 100 of them. Selling them for $495 installed. The kit alone is $359 which looks like a modified thermos.
Here is the link to the article which also has a video of the news broadcast.
