Question Exhaust recogmendations for a 1993 4x4 XtraCab SR5?

The above pretty much says it all. my truck has the stock exhaust and I was wondering what type I should replace it with. That is, OEM from Toyota or something from the aftermarket. Possibly one that will alow it to breath better with some extra HP. The rest of the truck is bone stock. Any other performance mods for this truck to give it a little boost in power? Its the 3.0 V6/5-speed combo. Has over 200,000 miles but it runs and looks like new. Hope my next Toyota will be as reliable.

just adding a flowmaster 40 series is a great mod that me and my buddies have done to ours in the past. Now we are all running downey headers to stock cat's (extras were taken from a junk yard) then through an X pipe from hedman, then to dual flowmaster 40's and side exits. It was about $600 for all the parts. You could install yourself with clamps but I recomend welding them together, most muffler shops will do it for about $200.

Carguy, Thanks for the tip on the flowmaster. One other thing when ya have a chance- about how much power does that mod add I mean is it noticable right after installing just the single flowmaster. Or do you have to go the extra mile with the second mod with the duel exhaust to really feel the difference. Also, is the exhaust note quiet or does it give more of a rumble with the flowmaster?

Its considerably louder with the headers and all. It was actually dual but there was a loss of low end power so the X pipe was added to equalize some of that. Not really noticalbe as far as preformance goes, im guessing 10hp if that.

Put a Spintech muffler on. It sounds better and flow more.
