Four big doors with room for the family is what the sequoia is for and you get a enclosed lockale bed! Not a stump of a bed like the D.cab will have.

hey the 4.7 is already what 5 years old? i think...a new engine is sure to be more powerfull as well as more economic. and yes i am a 16 year old. toyota isnt dumb they know what nissan is up to with their 5.6 v8 toyota knows that they are going to have to make this engine out perform and outlast the titans all with probably similar gas mileage to the 4.7 i heard somewhere that the new engine has been in development for i think 8 years. and that new v8 will have more power so you wont have to mash it so much to get somewhere....giving you better gas mileage and if its not what u desire im sure that the 4.7 will still be available. i cant wait for this new addition to the tundra along with a 1 ton verson. im hoping that the new engine tops 300 hp and has 375 ft lbs or more and it would be nice if that torque came a little lower than the 4.7.

If Toyota made the I-force 4.7-liter with variable valve timing on both the intake and exhaust camshafts and also employed technologies like a variable induction system than they could increase fuel mileage and power at the same time without having to go with a larger engine.

Dude, what the hell are you talking about??? The double cab has the same size bed as the Access Cab Tundra, only deeper. I wouldn't call that a stump of a bed. The Exploder Sport Trac or the Ford F150 SCREW has a stump of a bed.

I take back that statement about the Tundra Double cab having a stump of a bed. When I said that we knew nothing about the new truck and I was proved wrong. I thought they were going to do the same treatment as the D.cab Tacoma. That is, making the cab larger but bobing the bed. I just feel that a pickup truck should have a useful bed. Four feet long IMO is just too small to be useful. So I'm glad the Tundra will have the best of both worlds, a bigger cab as well as retaining the full six foot bed. I hope they continue making the reg. cab/8' bed configuration. I know Nissan did away entirely with the Regular cab.
