couple of question for 03 tundra owner's i noticed the skid plates are metal on 03 vs the 00 01 and 02 setup. my skid plates right now are cracked due to my toyo dealer overtighing them too hard ..i informed them today during my oil change that my skid was coming apart and that invised me who ever did my oil mess with taking odd skid plates by overtighting them since they are the ones that service my tundra (oil) that there paying for there tech damages due to my truck... had all oil changes done at my dealer since brand new...does anybody know if the 03 skid plates fit the 01 tundra these plastic part's dont seem to hold up?

I think the 4WD models have metal skidplates with the plastic side pieces and the 2WD have all plastic.

Either way I Thought the mounting points were the same as there is just one design of front skid row skid plate. BTW my stock front plate was metal with no plastic side pieces on my 03 sr5 4x4. thanks todd

im calling my dealership part guy he has a tundra and he would know ....i wouldnt ever think of calling toyota on that because some of those people dont know that all much much less drive them

I believe that if you have a 2WD AND TRD package then you get the metal plate. No TRD no metal plate. Also believe that all 4WD come with the metal plate.
