I have a Ram Air Performance Performance System for the stock air box that works on the Tundra 4.7L and I believe will work on the V6 "as is" or with minor modification(s).
Q: Is the V6 air box exactly the same as the 4.7L version? I would think not, but I would bet it installs in the same location. Can someone take a few pics of the V6 air box and send them to me via info@ramairperformance.com?

The V6 airbox is not the same as the V8. The V6's is bigger height wise but the filters are the same size.

Also the intake tube for the V6 comes in from the right rear of the airbox versus the right side for the V8.

Hello - I have a question about this ram air system: Do you leave the stock air tube (that leads from the fenderwell into the air filter box) intact and open, in conjunction with the ram air duct?
My concern is that if the ram air duct is the only air source, water could be sucked up into the filter box during heavy downpours, watercrossings, etc. I'm not a big offroader but I have crossed streams and large mud puddles that briefly caused a wave that reached the location of the ram air intake.
BTW, do you still need V6 under-the-hood pics? Let me know since I have a digital camera...

Good questions! (Same as many others, so it looks like I need to create/post an FAQ to my site...)
- Yes, the stock air inlet from the fender well to the air box is retained/not touched.
- Re your water concern, in actuality, there really is no way for water to travel through the scoop and UP the air duct to the FIPK or stock air box. Given the design, it would be virtually impossible - unless you submerged the entire front bumper. So, driving through the occasional water puddle or high stream won't be an issue. Plus, the new 2" air inlet you create in your stock air box is BELOW the air filter. So, any residual dirt, dust, moisture, etc. would be filtered before it reaches the engine.
Thanks for the offer to take some pic's, but I'm all set thanks to 2toytrucks - the first with the RAP Sytstem for the V6! We still have a few minor issues to iron out, but I expect to make the V6 version available some time in June.
