This is a discussion thread titled "Stone Mountain Racing headers for tundra???", within the Engine & Drivetrain forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
On there site they sell header and a y-pipe for the Tundra. I wonder if the collector has the cone welded into it though to reduce turbulence in the collector.

I've done business with ssautochrome off of E-Bay. I purchased a set of stainless JBA headers and Y-Pipe- both at a deep discount. The headers were factory "seconds". I had to tig weld to repair pin-hole porosity in both headers otherwise both would have leaked once installed. The welds on these headers were ugly. After welding and coating I'm satisfied with their JBAs. For $200 the Stone Mountain Headers may also need some work. I have no complaints with their customer service though, the guy I corresponded with is a straight-up guy.
Just got a set of these stone mountain headers today. I took a couple of pics and posted. I won't be installing for a few weeks though. I could take some install pics for you all if there is any interest?

Definitely post some pics of the install and let us know how the install goes and if you can feel any difference in performance.
It looks like the tubes are welded on both sides of the flanges. Is that true? They look a lot shinier than JBA's. What are they made out of? JBA's are 409 stainless.

Dudeboy, yes they are welded on the inside as well, but only on the heavy side. I had a guy that does alot of welding and automotive work take a look and he said that the welds look good. (He is currently doing a frame up build of a 57 chevy with 900 hp, i have seen some pics of the frame and suppension work, rather amazing!) The headers have great workmanship on the bends & welding. I did take a die grinder to the inside of the tubs in a couple of areas that had some extra welding build up. I guess the true eval will be in the install...
