Default V6 supercharger

Just mulling around the idea of adding the supercharger. Any feedback on how it is on the V6 Tundra? Also, would this work fine with stock exhaust? Thanks

Go for it!

Got mine installed with TRD headers for $3300. Best gift I ever bought for myself!

How does that thing compare to the V8?

So how would it be with stock exhaust? About to do a lift and some wheels/tires also, so not sure about getting into the exhaust right away. Though that sounds like a pretty good deal you got on your setup. Wasn't even sure about keeping the truck for a while until I found this site, and particularly DJ's alignment specs. Now I find myself bitten by the mod bug.

dsconstructs - Don't know. I had a single in-dual out exhaust installed on the second day of ownership. Any local independent muffler shop should be able to fix you up for $300 or so if you don't go the Borla/TRD/Bassani route.

v8toilet - Don't know. Haven't put it on a dyno or taken it to the strip (yet).

Cool TRD Supercharger 7th Injector??

How come I don't hear much about this new item from TRD? Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but can't find nothing in this site on this item.\

Hahaha, I can't beleive you found this thread though. Since then I have installed the SC, have my new wheels tires etc, though still on stock exhaust. As for the 7th injector it is not released for the V6 Tundra yet. I was told to check back with TRD sometime early next year, 2-3 months to try to get an update about it's release. You may also want to check out urdusa.com, for an upgrade kit, injectors, adjustable fuel map etc., gadget is connected to this. Only problem is it would void warranties and not CARB certified. So if I further upgrade it will be the 7th injector from TRD, even though gadget's kit looks more refined and tuneable.

Okay, I give. You posted the original query looking for feedback on supercharger results. And now you address the question on the 7th injector and tell us you now have it installed, but no insight. So what's the deal? How do you like it? Is there more low end torque so that the stinkin' tranny will quit dropping out of lock-up and downshifting on an interstate hill? Or is it mostly top end or... What about mileage? Any driveability (pinging) issues? Noise? I've got an '03 Access Cab V6. Thanks.

Oops, I had forgotten about this thread and started another after the install. 6 months just about was too long for my short term memory . http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...ad.php?t=21244 is where I posted my initial post install thoughts. Only problems maybe, I am taking it in this morning to have it checked out. Had been driving normal for mileage comparisons and hadn't noticed much, but trying to hook up a boost gauge, now I get no boost reading, only vacuum. Gotta see if my new toy is broke . Only went around the block to get a feel for it again, and it doesn't seem to scream like after the install. Hard to tell as I didn't want to get carried away in my residential and with the day off today I figured it would be just as easy to let the dealer check it out for sure.
