Default Question about replacing camshaft seals.

I'm about to do a timing belt on my 00 Tundra and was wondering if anyone has advice about replacing the camshaft seals if they're leaking. I bought them just in case. I found info about replacing the crank seal in the FSM but nothing about the camshaft seals except they get installed "by hand". Do they get removed with a screwdriver like the crank seal?

Default Re: Question about replacing camshaft seals.

Remove the valve cover, then remove the CAM CAP, slide the seal out and then slide the new seal in, re-install the cam cap and seal it with FIPG (from in place gasket), re-install valve cover with new gasket.

The manual shows pushing the seal in, but it isnt that easy and it is easier to remove the V/C and cam cap then install the seal.

Thanks for the info. I guess if I see the cam seals leaking I'll have to run out and get valve cover gaskets too.
