Highlander white smoke upon start-up

My 01 4cyl Higlander smokes upon start up only. (white)
Anyone else have this problem?

Independent Toyota repairs shops wants around 1000 to 1500 bucks, sayings its the seals leaking oil. Wouldn't it be coolant though? - whatever.. Just looking for some opinions before I spend the money.

Anyone???
