i need you guys to help me make a S.W.A.G., or scentific wild a$$ guess, based on the following mods combined, what kind of HP and TORQUE numbers after the mods can i expect
spintech sportsman XL muffer
k&n intake, i know you guys dont think it is worth anything, my friends tundra shows different in our weather conditions
power pulley
jba headers
thanks for the help guys, i am just wantin to know to know so i can get an idea for myself and my friends, just for show purposes and just to know for LEGAL street racing purposes.

Hey Wes,
I'll let you know what #'s the dyno says after I install the JBA's & the pulley. I have the K&N FIPK and a FlowMaster 40 (Sorry V8..!!!) already. I also have Tremos' RAP system from the TS store and think it really compliments the intake well. JB
Do yourself a great big favor and leave the truck alone. I bought my Tundra with the express purpose of adding dual exhausts, headers, K&N, etc. Listen to what these other users are telling you. There is no future in it. The mods only work at the higher rpm's and to really perform you need to change the chip. Now you have higher horsepower/torque/rpm's after which you can replace the broken and twisted axles, transmissions, etc.
Where do you do most of your driving - 5000 rpm or 2000 rpm?
I'm still thinking about the duals but can't find a good reason to spend 500 bucks to change something Toyota spent big bucks to make quiet. I love the sound of the duals but I know I would eat more gas 'listening' to the sound. Your choice, I know but I'm leaving mine alone. Good Luck!!!!!!
265 horsepower and 335 ft. lbs. of torque! Those numbers equate to 290 RWTQ and 220 RWHP.
Using my drag program I get 0-60 in 8.4 seconds and the quarter mile coming in 16.3 seconds @ 85 mph. That is at an elevation of 800 ft. on a 75-degree day with 60% humidity and a race weight of 4950 lbs.
With 265 horsepower and 335 ft. lbs. of torque you go 0-60 in 7.82 seconds and run the quarter mile in 15.88 seconds @ 86.8 MPH.

Geez, almauk, give me some of what you're smoking..
Hey wes,
You should ask yourself where your rpms are at when you drive.
Do you get on the freeway going 2000rpms ? Do you pass a truck going 2000rpms ? Do you like driving slow ? The K&N will make sure that you can get on the freeway and pass that big *** truck w/ease. I can go 50- 80mph very quickly and have never had any trbl w/the intake like some of the other guys here. The muffler is a personal choice. V8 has stats for the Spintech that speak for itself. The JBA's are a proven design and will have gains in the mid to high rpms. JB
thanks a ton guys, i think that for my use and the way i drive they will have a large effect on my speed. when i am racing someone i have the rpms up high. i know some of you guys are askin yourselves y you would race a tundra, and i just got one thing to say, i love speed. i have always wanted something different from the camaros and mustangs and lightnings i see everyday, but that can still almost contend with them. the parts listed above are stage I of my buildup, stage II will be adding NOS, and stage II will be a turbo
most of the parts you listed would be replaced if you go turbo. you should get parts now which you can use later as your 'system' grows/'stages' increase. unless you got money to burn, then nevermind.
some of the other easier mod stuff which would be good for drag racing is smaller wheels/tires, regearing and removing unnecessary weight.

I disagree with you about that! If your modifications are selected carefully you can have torque gains where a pickup truck needs them the most, down low. Just by adding these JBA headers my truck feels allot stronger than it did stock from idle to 3000 RPM. Did you see the JBA dyno graph in the TS store? It feels stronger in this 90-degree heat with high humidity with the JBA headers and the Spintech muffler than it did stock on a 40-degree day with low humidity.
I’m very happy with my modifications. Things I’ve learned from trying exhaust systems like the TRD duals and the JBA Evol exhaust are that if you do not increase the exhaust pipe diameter and stick with a single pipe you will not loose low-end torque.

I agree with this post 100%...no reason to do the same work twice...with a turbo you will need a new exhaust and the K&N will be of no use as well...Just my $.02
i know that most of the parts will be replaced if i go turbo, but since that will be 2 to 3, maybe even 4 years or more down the road, these are the mods i will make now. i am about to start college and that will be a big part of my paycheck and life, so the time and money will not be there for a while to do the turbo. i know what you are saying, but i figure i will get my moneys worth by the time i go turbo, and i may be able to sell some of the stuff to others when that time comes. thanks for the advice guys.
i have another question about these mods. will they get me OFF THE LINE better? right now it seems like my 03 really bogs off the line until it gets to about 15 mph. will the exhaust help that? that will be the first thing done out of these mods, and i would like to know if it will get that off the line torque and power i need?

Wes,
The muffler should help a bit. The K&N FIPK will give gains after 2500 rpms but actually might short change the low end. That's the give and take w/it. Another way would be to do a stock intake mod like Tremo's RAP system. This gives the engine colder air from outside the truck. JB
