I'm sorry I new to this site but I have been reading all of your posts on the V8 supercharger I got mine installed already and I think it is bad a** I bought mine from sterlingmotorsports.com for $3850.00 and the guy said that price includes shipping anywhere in the 48 US states but I already lived in Houston so I pick it up there, no probems yet hope I don't get any.
Also my truck is black and I am getting a haze over the paint can any one suggest a good wax I have tried a lot of different ones and still is not as shinny as it used to be, any info would help thanks.
Did you install yourself? Have you dynoed or taken to the track? How many miles on the S/C? Would you mind providing any additional info? A lot of questions I know. But I have to admit that spending $4k is a ton of money and I would not want to be disappointed? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
No I did not install it myself I got Sterling to install it they have some pretty good techs there have not had it dynoed or had a chane to take it to the track only have 500 miles one just had installed a week and a half ago got the first one in Houston been asked alot of questions on it will hopfully be taking to the track this weekend if I can get out of work.
No I have not had that problem but I have not really had a chance to get on it they just changed the speed limit to 55 here in Houston so the cops have been everywhere I am going to try to get out to the track and open it up but I can let you know I can really feel the difference in power I like it.
Alright people with the super charger, where the hell are all the details. This little bit of info here and there is frustrating.
What kind of mileage?, trans/shifting characteristics?, power lagging between shifts?, 4wheel drive shifting, low range operation w/ charger, any pinging? MORE INFO MORE INFO
so far it sounds like the results are not to appealing for 4500 bucks

I am getting about 10 miles to the gallon I was getting between 12 and 13 before, I only have pinging when I use low octane gas so far as I said I have only had it 2 weeks and I have not had a chance to really get down on it sorry that is all the information that I can give you at this time.
Thursday,noon
My neighbour congratulated me on my new corolla.
I had to explain that is was a loaner.
Last I heard they were trying the groundwire fix.
I agree completely with Borla. I have seen two posts from folks who got the S/C talking about too many tickets on their record to speed, and decreased speed limits.
I personally could care less how fast the truck will exceed the speed limit-hell it's still governed to a max. of about 105mph, and I can get above the limit in a huge hurry right now.
How does it behave in around town driving? Is there a noticable increase in off the line torque? Are hole shots any different, meaning does if feel like the additional power is getting to the tires? How about acceleration getting onto intersate ramps compared to stock, transmission shifting, differences in overdrive behavior on the interstate with the s/c?
I don't think there are many folks here that will be racing their Tundra once they get an S/C. Just observations about everyday driving situations would be really great to give us an idea of cost vs. performance so we can make up our minds.

if you are getting 3mpg less already and have not even got on it yet than this is no good. 3mpg less w/ premium gas is a lot with out even getting on it.
WHEN DOES THE BOOST KICK IN FROM A DEAD STOP, ANY LAG AT ALL IN FIRST GEAR OR BETWEEN GEARS.
Also very interested in how the trans is performing, I think this will be the key point if something goes wrong or is not performing.
I not asking you to speed for those of you telling about tickets, i'm interested from light to light, every day driving, 4 wheeling low range, more every day encounters, rather than 100mph dashs.
There is nothing to say you can't gas it from a light without breaking the speed limit. If not, what the hell did you buy it for. Sorry for the rant but everyone has been waiting so long it seemed as if this day would not come and so far it's not very convincing.
Again not trying to step on anyone toes just very curious.
Later,
BB

Alright, since nobody has dynoed it or timed it, you can at least fill us in on HOW quick it is? Are we talkin mustang gt times of 0-60 in 5.4 & quarter in around 14 flat or what? Is it lightningesque or slower than that? You should be able to guess what it would run 0-60 and in the quarter or at least be able to guage it. I'm worried when people say it is fast it is their inexperience talking. If you've ever been in a lightning or some other fast vehicle you should be able compare it to other vehicles. I'm dissappointed so far because the people that have bought the supercharger don't seem to be able to give us any clues other than it is fast. I'm hoping the TRD supercharger is not a dud.
O.K., with all this talk about how fast the blower actually makes these Tundras, I get the feeling I'm the only one not buying one for street racing at sea level. I live in Colorado, and tow a 3000 lb tent trailer and load another 1000 lbs of trail bike & ATV & gear and fill the passenger compartment (9-10,000 lbs gross vehicle weight), then drive from 1 mi above sea level to 2 mi above sea level. I need more power just to get all that stuff up into the Mountains! Is there anyone in the Denver Metro area who's considering adding the blower to their Tundra or knows someone who already has? What dealer would you trust to do it right? I'm not about to take it into my local dealer! Any insight is appreciated. If you want to send an e-mail, my address is in my profile.
